Communications Manager – E‑Commerce (Mexico)

About the role

This position sits within TikTok’s Global Communications team and will support the rapid expansion of TikTok Shop in Mexico. Working closely with operations, business, product, legal and public policy teams, the Communications Manager will shape narratives, develop communication strategies and advise on product positioning, market trends and external issues.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all TikTok Shop communications initiatives in Mexico and act as the primary liaison for operations and business teams.
• Craft clear, compelling narratives that advance business goals and resonate with sellers, creators and buyers.
• Build and maintain relationships with top‑tier national and trade press, securing coverage and managing media inquiries.
• Review externally‑facing content such as seller communications, presentations, promotions and logistics updates for accuracy and reputational risk.
• Train and coach market executives and subject‑matter experts for interviews and on‑site events.
• Collaborate with regional and global communications teams to ensure consistent messaging across products, partnerships and vision.
• Serve as the communications point of contact for cross‑functional partners, aligning messages and advising on market trends, risks and opportunities specific to Mexico.

Required profile

• Fluent in written and spoken Spanish and English.
• Proven communications experience, preferably in technology.
• Demonstrated ability to work with public policy, legal, product and other internal teams to translate complex topics into clear messages.
• Extensive media‑relations experience, ideally within an agency environment.
• Strong understanding of Mexican media landscape and public sentiment around e‑commerce.
