Communications Manager – Mexico

About the role

Amazon.com is looking for a highly‑intelligent, self‑motivated communications professional to lead the Press Office in Mexico and across LATAM. Reporting to the Head of Stores & Corporate Communications, you will partner with business leaders to design and execute strategic communications for Amazon’s 3P business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic communications and PR initiatives to build awareness and credibility among media, opinion leaders, government officials and other external stakeholders.
• Create and manage store‑related announcements, campaigns, reports and evergreen content.
• Write strategic business plans, coordinate agency work and oversee budget management.
• Lead the production of press materials such as media pitches, press releases, blogs, visuals and infographics.
• Build and maintain relationships with retail, finance, technology and corporate media across Mexico and LATAM.
• Train and manage spokespeople for press, analyst engagements and speaking opportunities.
• Collaborate with 3P business, marketing, operations, public policy, HR and other functions to ensure consistent messaging.
• Monitor and respond to potential brand‑reputation issues in the region and develop scalable media‑relations processes.

Required profile

• Creative and strategic storyteller with a results‑driven mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Proven ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and quickly establish media and influencer relationships.
• Experience leading brand or corporate communication programs, agency management and budget oversight.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines, manage ambiguity and prioritize changing priorities.
• Strong initiative, ownership, leadership and partnership capabilities.
