Company Accountant (Mexico Subsidiary)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Company Accountant to own the finance function of our Mexico subsidiary. The role blends local statutory compliance, group reporting, and operational finance support while working closely with internal teams and external tax and payroll advisors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full month‑end close, preparing P&L, balance sheet and schedules in line with Group standards and delivering monthly performance commentary.
• Maintain balance‑sheet reconciliations, project accounting, WIP and margin reporting, and ensure accurate revenue recognition.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations and align balances with Group entities in the UK, Cyprus and the US.
• Oversee SAT tax filings (ISR, IVA, DIOT), payroll submissions (IMSS, INFONAVIT) and year‑end statutory reporting.
• Ensure compliance with CFDI digital invoicing, manage customer invoicing, and coordinate with auditors, authorities and banks.
• Supervise AP, AR, bank postings, cash‑flow forecasting and support cash‑management activities.
• Drive finance process improvements and lead the transition to Microsoft Dynamics.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting (Licenciatura en Contaduría).
• 5+ years of experience in a full‑function accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican NIF, SAT requirements and statutory deadlines.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and collaborate across borders.

• Microsoft Dynamics (ERP implementation and usage).
• SAT tax compliance and CFDI digital invoicing.
• Payroll processing for IMSS and INFONAVIT.
• Intercompany reconciliation and project accounting.
• Cash‑flow forecasting and AP/AR management.
