Construction Superintendent

About the role

The Construction Superintendent will lead day‑to‑day activities on hospitality resort projects in Playa del Carmen. Reporting to the Project Manager, this on‑site professional ensures work is performed safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate field operations, including scheduling, workforce and subcontractor supervision.
• Manage material deliveries, site logistics, and daily progress tracking.
• Enforce safety protocols and maintain daily reports and site records.
• Resolve on‑site issues promptly and communicate updates to architects, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement of construction processes and site communication.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising construction sites, preferably on medium to large‑scale hospitality projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, building systems, and quality standards.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts and convey requirements to field teams.
• Focus on health, safety, and environmental practices with a track record of implementing safety plans.
• Relevant technical or professional education in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or equivalent experience.

Required skills

• Knowledge of construction methods and materials for resort projects.
• Ability to read and apply construction documents (drawings, specifications, contracts).
• Experience with safety plan development and enforcement.
• Proficiency with construction management tools for scheduling, reporting, and field coordination.
