Continuous Improvement Engineer

About the role

The Continuous Improvement Engineer will work on the production floor in Saltillo, driving safety, quality, delivery, productivity and cost improvements across manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will apply Lean Manufacturing, industrial engineering and data‑analysis tools to eliminate waste and create sustainable standards.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize improvement opportunities based on safety, quality, delivery, productivity and cost metrics.
• Develop project charters with clear scope, baseline, targets, timeline, responsible parties and expected financial impact.
• Lead projects from analysis through implementation, validation, standardisation and sustained follow‑up.
• Apply Lean principles to remove waste, conduct value‑stream mapping and facilitate Kaizen, 5S and visual‑management events.
• Perform time‑and‑motion studies, create standard work documents, Yamazumi charts and balance lines to takt time.
• Collect and analyse production data, build dashboards and visual controls to monitor performance.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and industrial‑engineering background with a hands‑on approach.
• Ability to understand real production conditions, distinguish value‑added from non‑value‑added activities and engage operators and leaders.
• Experience leading improvement projects to measurable, sustainable results.
