Controller Manager – Budget & Forecasting

About the role

The Controller Manager will lead the budgeting, forecasting and consolidation processes for adidas wholesale and franchise operations in Mexico. This role ensures consistent planning, reporting and methodology across channels, supporting data‑driven decisions that maximize profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the annual budget process and periodic forecasting, providing clear assumptions and methodology to country teams.
• Produce monthly business reviews with detailed analysis of country and channel performance, KPIs and variance explanations.
• Standardise accounting and reporting processes to align with global timelines and requirements.
• Partner with wholesale and franchise leads to design financial strategies that support business objectives.
• Analyse distribution agreements, trade terms and overheads to influence customer P&L and optimise profitability.
• Deliver business analysis, BOH, backlog and risk‑opportunity assessments to enable fact‑based decisions.
• Participate in projects aimed at improving cost‑to‑business and key financial KPIs.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, budgeting or controlling within a retail or wholesale environment.
• Broad theoretical and practical knowledge of company policies, financial procedures and reporting standards.
• Strong competence with various financial tools and procedures.
