Controller – Remote (Mexico & Colombia)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Controller to lead month‑end close and deliver high‑quality financial reporting for our e‑commerce clients. The role is fully remote, serving teams in Mexico and Colombia while aligning with US Central/Eastern business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the month‑end close process and ensure financial statements are ready by the 5th business day.
• Support cash‑flow visibility, working‑capital analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling and variance analysis.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and provide actionable financial insights.
• Drive AI, automation and technology adoption to streamline accounting and reporting.
• Design, standardize and continuously improve accounting processes, internal controls and workflows across multiple clients.
• Supervise, mentor and develop a team of accountants.
• Assist with implementation of new systems, tools and scalable financial processes.
• Maintain proactive communication with clients, CFOs and internal teams.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in accounting, finance or controllership roles.
• Proven track record in month‑end close, financial reporting, FP&A and US GAAP.
• Experience reporting directly to CFOs or CEOs, preferably in manufacturing, CPG or e‑commerce.
• Strong leadership, communication and client‑facing abilities.
• Passion for technology, AI and automation with a continuous‑improvement mindset.
