Controlling Specialist (Temporary)

About the role

The Controlling Specialist will support the spare‑parts business of Daimler Truck in Mexico, ensuring that operations, margins and financial reporting comply with internal policies, local accounting standards and tax regulations. This temporary position (19‑month project) provides critical financial insight for strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and supervise spare‑parts and service workshop operations to verify correct margin calculation.
• Prepare forecasts and planning for the spare‑parts business, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to implement actions that achieve financial objectives.
• Evaluate, approve, and monitor discount operations, promotions, and credit notes for special pricing.
• Ensure compliance with cost, inventory, accounting, finance and tax principles.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or Finance.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, finance and tax regulations.
• Fluent in Spanish (C2) and proficient in English (B2).
• Effective communication, strategic thinking and negotiation abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP, specifically the COPA module and master data material planning.
