Corporate Lawyer – Legal Specialist (Mexico)

About the role

nVent is seeking a Legal Specialist to support its Mexico legal function, focusing on labor compliance, supplier oversight, and corporate governance. The role provides hands‑on compliance and documentation support within a complex Mexican regulatory environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support compliance with Mexico’s labor reform requirements, overseeing service providers and subcontractors.
• Coordinate REPS documentation, supplier registrations, and monitor labor and social security compliance.
• Partner with Procurement, HR, and Operations to collect, review, and maintain required documentation.
• Prepare for and respond to STPS and labor‑related audits, tracking documentation and coordinating internally.
• Maintain audit‑ready records and compliance trackers across all Mexico sites.
• Manage day‑to‑day corporate governance and entity compliance activities, including statutory filings and registrations.
• Prepare and maintain corporate books, powers of attorney, and governance documentation.
• Track deadlines to ensure timely execution of regulatory obligations.
• Serve as point of contact for outside counsel, preparing documentation and managing workflows to reduce external legal spend.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Procurement, Operations, EHS, and Security on compliance initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law.
• Experience with Mexican labor compliance and corporate governance.
• Ability to coordinate documentation and manage regulatory filings.
• Strong collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Mexican labor reform requirements.
• Familiarity with corporate governance documentation and statutory filing processes.
• Experience handling audits and regulatory inquiries.
