Corporate Senior Accountant

About the role

SWBC is looking for a Corporate Senior Accountant to lead month‑end close activities, ensure the accuracy of fixed‑asset ledgers, and support audit processes. You will work across corporate operations and collaborate with multiple divisions to drive accounting and finance improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the monthly closing process, prepare journal entries and supporting documentation.
• Maintain balance‑sheet integrity through account reviews, reconciliations, and timely resolution of reconciling items.
• Support affiliate companies in reconciliation efforts and manage investment ledgers in accordance with GAAP.
• Collaborate on efficiency projects, resolve general‑ledger issues, and assist with external financial reporting.
• Prepare audit schedules, confirmations, and respond to auditor information requests.
• Lead accounting projects and process‑improvement initiatives as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred).
• Minimum four years of general accounting and financial preparation experience.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and ability to sit for long periods while using computer applications.

Required skills

• Proficiency with general‑ledger software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Access.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Understanding of GAAP principles.
