Cost Accountant / Cost Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a Cost Accountant / Cost Analyst to lead manufacturing cost accounting and inventory control for our SCPT and POD operations. You will be responsible for standard costing, variance analysis, overhead allocation and supporting month‑end and year‑end close activities.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate standard costs for finished goods and work‑in‑process and perform variance analysis against actual costs.
• Maintain inventory control through monthly reconciliations, physical audits and ledger entries for material consumption and adjustments.
• Allocate manufacturing overhead, prepare journal entries and support month‑end / year‑end closing and financial audits.
• Collaborate with US FP&A on budgeting, forecasting and annual manufacturing cost projections.
• Produce monthly CPU analysis, scrap valuation reports and present findings to plant management.
• Act as liaison between accounting and operations in Mexico, conduct Gemba walks and participate in daily production meetings.
• Work with engineering on BOM development, routings and time studies; set up cost accounting in ERP systems (Odoo & Dynamics 365).
• Manage fixed assets, monitor inventory obsolescence and calculate break‑even points and contribution margins.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 2 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, inventory accounting and overhead allocation.
• High attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Odoo and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Fluent written and verbal English.
