Customer Quality Engineer – Automotive

About the role

As a Customer Quality Engineer you will manage corrective and preventive actions for customer complaints, ensuring the products delivered meet the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for continuous improvement of the quality performance and compliance with industry and customer specific requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions for 0 KM concerns in mass production.
• Maintain and improve the quality management system, including containment actions and proactive notifications.
• Coordinate additional controls with Engineering and Operations to guarantee product quality during SOP + 90 days (Safe Launch Plan).
• Execute IPSO audits to verify proper transfer of new products to production.
• Manage the quality RMA process and validate customer deductions related to 0 KM issues.
• Support Quality Inspectors and Technicians to ensure compliance with QMS requirements.
• Prepare QA reports, develop and hand over Control Plans, and manage PPAP submissions.
• Conduct product audits and perform other tasks as directed by the Senior Customer Quality Engineer.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quality Engineer or in an industrial product manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in English (approximately 90%).
• Willingness to travel and work on‑site, and ability to pass a background check.

Required skills

• Knowledge of quality standards: IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001.
• Experience with Control Plans, PPAP, MSA, SPC, 8D, 5 Why, VDA methodologies.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with SAP and automotive customer portals.
