Cybersecurity Analyst L2

About the role

Amex GBT is seeking a Cybersecurity Level Two Analyst to enhance and maintain the company’s security posture. You will support the Cyber Defense Organization by identifying, analyzing, and mitigating security threats and vulnerabilities while protecting sensitive customer and operational data.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools and other monitoring systems.
• Analyze, triage, and coordinate response to security incidents, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Perform root‑cause analysis of security events and review threat intelligence to recommend mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with other teams to identify vulnerable systems and conduct threat‑hunting activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and prepare detailed reports on incidents, vulnerabilities, and trends for management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH or equivalent are preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience with security tools: CrowdStrike, NG SIEM, Proofpoint, Abnormal, Palo Alto, Cisco.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell.
• Ability to filter and analyze large data sets.
