Cybersecurity SOC Analyst

About the role

Plan A Technologies is looking for a Cybersecurity SOC Analyst to join its Security Operations Center. You will monitor logs, analyse alerts, and help maintain the organization’s security posture while supporting compliance and audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform Tier 1 and Tier 2 SOC activities, including log monitoring, alert analysis, and threat escalation.
• Investigate security events according to runbooks and SLAs, maintaining situational awareness of emerging threats.
• Monitor Microsoft 365 services (Azure AD/Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams) for security events and anomalous activity.
• Support endpoint management for Windows and macOS devices, including compliance and patch monitoring.
• Provide desktop and help‑desk support as the primary point of contact for end‑user technical issues.
• Prepare and maintain SOC 1 and SOC 2 audit documentation, incident reports, and vulnerability summaries.
• Assist with vulnerability scanning, validation, prioritisation, and remediation coordination.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity, IT, and Cloud Engineering teams to improve detection and response processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Security Operations Center or a related security role.
• Ability to work within defined SLAs and follow documented runbooks.

Required skills

• Microsoft 365 services monitoring (Azure AD/Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams).
• Endpoint management for Windows and macOS devices.
• Vulnerability scanning, validation and remediation tracking.
• Experience preparing SOC 1 and SOC 2 audit documentation.
