Data Analyst – Remote (New Mexico)

About the role

Sezzle is looking for a Data Analyst to drive business outcomes through analytics in a fast‑paced, high‑growth fintech environment. The role is fully remote and supports teams across product, engineering, finance, sales, marketing, support, legal and people operations.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business units to understand priorities and define key metrics.
• Write complex SQL queries and build data sets for reporting and analysis.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and visualisations to communicate insights.
• Perform exploratory and ad‑hoc analyses using Python.
• Identify new opportunities and conduct root‑cause investigations.
• Leverage AI tools, LLMs and workflow automation to improve analytical productivity.

Required profile

• Degree in a quantitative discipline (statistics, economics, data science, computer science, etc.) or a master’s degree.
• 3+ years of professional experience working with data, including dataset creation, reporting and machine‑learning basics.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.

Required skills

• Proficient in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Experience with Python for data processing and analytics.
• Familiarity with data‑visualisation tools such as R.
