Data Engineer ETL Tester

About the role

Infosys is seeking a Data Engineer with a strong focus on ETL development, data validation, and testing. The role will involve designing SQL solutions, building Tableau dashboards, and creating automated data pipelines on AWS.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop SQL code using AWS Athena for data extraction and analysis.
• Create and maintain Tableau workbooks to visualize data insights.
• Develop, schedule, and monitor automated ETL jobs on AWS services.
• Perform performance tuning and troubleshoot failures of existing data pipelines.
• Conduct ad‑hoc analyses and query data to support business investigations.
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to define metrics and key performance indicators.

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to capture accurate information.
• Minimum 1‑2 years of experience in ETL development and testing.
• Experience with Tableau (1‑2 years) and SQL for data analysis.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services such as CloudWatch, Lambda, EMR, and Athena.
• Analytical mindset with curiosity about data and a proactive approach to problem solving.
