Data Engineer – ETL Tester

About the role

Infosys is seeking a Data Engineer with a strong focus on ETL testing and data validation. The role involves building and maintaining data pipelines, creating analytical dashboards, and ensuring data quality across multiple cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop SQL code using AWS Athena.
• Create, edit, and maintain Tableau workbooks.
• Build automated data‑processing solutions and monitor their performance.
• Tune and optimize existing automated jobs for efficiency.
• Troubleshoot job failures and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Conduct ad‑hoc analyses to answer business questions.
• Query data to support investigations and generate insights.
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to define metrics and key performance indicators.

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented with strong note‑taking abilities.
• 1‑2 years of experience in ETL development and testing.
• 1‑2 years of experience creating Tableau dashboards.
• 1‑2 years of experience using SQL for data analysis and validation.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services such as CloudWatch, Lambda, EMR, and Athena.
• Strong analytical mindset and curiosity about data.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Proactive attitude with a desire to continuously learn and grow technical skills.
