Data Scientist – AI/ML Associate

About the role

Join PwC's Acceleration Center in Mexico as a Data Scientist focused on AI and machine learning. You will work with global advisory, assurance, tax and business services teams to transform client processes using advanced digital solutions, while developing your technical expertise and commercial awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Design, test, and deploy robust AI and ML solutions for real‑world client projects.
• Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, developers and product teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
• Gather and analyse data from multiple sources to identify patterns and support business decisions.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends, tools and best practices to continuously improve solution design.
• Anticipate client and team needs, embrace ambiguity and use challenges as growth opportunities.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of professional experience in AI/ML development or testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Analytics, Accounting, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Ability to implement AI thinking, drive efficiencies in engineering or data‑science workflows and test AI solutions effectively.
• Strong commercial awareness and interest in business contexts.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Data preprocessing and handling large structured/unstructured datasets using PySpark, Pandas and NumPy.
• Data analytics and visualization tools.
• Building data models and transformation routines.
• AI/ML development and testing expertise.
