Debug Technician – Electronics & Mechanical Assemblies

About the role

Flex is seeking a Debug Technician to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical assemblies at the component level. The role involves operating electronic test equipment, collaborating with engineering, and providing technical guidance to ensure equipment reliability and productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical assemblies used in equipment.
• Operate electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and conduct special tests as required.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to other technical personnel.
• Collaborate with engineering on functionality issues and update procedures.
• Develop and maintain debug guides, work instructions, batch records, and equipment logs.
• Monitor equipment productivity by tracking yields and cycle rates.
• Assist with installation, debug, and validation of process equipment.
• Deliver training to new‑build and service assembler teams.

Required profile

• Advanced technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical assemblies.
• Ability to interpret technical instructions, diagrams, and mathematical data.
• Strong problem‑solving skills: define problems, collect data, draw valid conclusions.
• Effective written communication for reports, procedures, and business correspondence.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Operation of oscilloscopes and other electronic test equipment.
• PCBA debugging and troubleshooting.
• Data analysis and application of advanced mathematical concepts.
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation (work instructions, logs, guides).
