Debug Technician

About the role

Flex is seeking a Debug Technician to support the troubleshooting and repair of complex mechanical and electrical assemblies at the component level. The role involves operating electronic test equipment, collaborating with engineering, and providing technical guidance to assembly teams in a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical assemblies used in equipment.
• Operate electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and conduct special tests as required.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to other technical personnel.
• Collaborate with engineering on functionality issues and update procedures.
• Present training to new‑build and service assembler teams.
• Contribute to work instructions, batch records, equipment logs, material specifications and other device history documents.
• Monitor equipment productivity by tracking yields and cycle rates.
• Assist with installation, debug and validation of process equipment.
• Develop and maintain a Debug Guide for PCBA troubleshooting and train other technicians.

Required profile

• Awareness of new technologies and techniques with detailed functional knowledge.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures.
• Strong analytical skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Capability to work safely in an environment with moving mechanical parts, chemicals and electrical hazards.
