Depot & Logistics Operator – IT Equipment

About the role

The Depot & Logistics Operator supports daily depot operations for a major US insurer’s IT equipment hub located in Aguascalientes, Mexico. The role handles inventory management, shipping, receiving, device staging, and asset tracking while ensuring equipment is tested and ready for deployment. Working Monday‑Friday, the operator collaborates closely with logistics and deployment teams to maintain service quality and operational readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inventory and maintain accurate asset records.
• Receive, inspect, store, and ship IT equipment and materials.
• Stage, image, and configure devices for deployment.
• Test hardware and peripherals (monitors, docking stations, keyboards, etc.) to ensure proper functionality.
• Perform basic troubleshooting for devices and peripherals.
• Process equipment returns and support warranty‑related activities.
• Update asset information and work orders in designated systems.
• Support deployment, fulfillment, and refresh projects.
• Conduct inventory counts and help maintain inventory accuracy.
• Follow operational procedures, quality standards, and documentation requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe depot environment.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service delivery.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in depot operations, logistics, warehousing, or inventory management.
• Strong attention to detail and quality‑control mindset.
• Ability to follow documented processes and maintain accurate records.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic understanding of hardware and peripheral testing.

Required skills

• Basic hardware and peripheral troubleshooting.
• Device imaging and configuration.
• Microsoft Word and Excel (intermediate).
• Asset tracking systems such as ServiceNow or similar.
• Work order and ticket management tools.
• Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Use of barcode scanners and warehouse inventory equipment.
• Hardware testing tools for monitors, docking stations, keyboards, etc.
• Vendor portals for warranty processing and order tracking.
