Design Drafter – Sheetmetal & Electrical Harness

About the role

Johnson Controls is seeking a Design Drafter to support the design and drafting of sheet‑metal, piping, harnesses and assemblies for chillers. The role involves creating low‑complexity chiller designs and translating engineering data into accurate 2D drawings.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and design electrical harnesses, models, routing and schematics.
• Produce mechanical part drawings, piping layouts, sheet‑metal components and assemblies.
• Read and interpret Bills of Materials (BOMs) and 2D engineering drawings.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design compliance with project specifications.

Required profile

• Technical experience of at least 6 months in design or drafting.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Highly organized with good communication skills.

Required skills

• Creo Parametric (or similar CAD tool) experience.
• PLM Windchill familiarity.
• SAP knowledge.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Electrical design knowledge.
• Mechanical design knowledge.
