Design Engineer III

About the role

Gulfstream Aerospace is seeking a Design Engineer III to support the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering designs for its business jet programs. The role is based in Mexicali and involves both analytical problem‑solving and hands‑on CAD work throughout the product release cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Research and analyze engineering data to resolve low to high‑complexity technical problems.
• Provide custom engineering support during the release process, ensuring compliance with Gulfstream specifications.
• Define and implement engineering changes, updating design documentation as required.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and installation teams to verify design intent.
• Prepare technical presentations and reports for internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 1 year of experience.
• Advanced proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical and project administration abilities.
• Flexibility to travel up to 25 % of the time.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CATIA V5 for 3D design.
• Experience using AutoCAD for 2D drafting.
