Design Engineer

About the role

Flowserve is seeking a Design Engineer to develop 3D models from hydraulic drawings and support internal teams such as customer service, sales, engineering, and manufacturing. The role involves interpreting specifications, creating parametric CAD models, and ensuring compliance with Flowserve standards.

Key responsibilities

• Generate 3D models of casting parts and engineered products from hydraulic and mechanical drawings.
• Apply engineering best practices, review standards, and identify gaps.
• Support internal contacts by providing CAD expertise and troubleshooting design issues.
• Interpret machine drawings, bills of materials, and create assembly drawings.
• Maintain and update the electronic document management system.
• Perform pre‑process modeling for CFD and FEA analysis and for casting processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of relevant CAD/Design experience.
• Understanding of Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) methodology.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Ability to self‑manage priorities and work in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• SolidWorks (parametric 3D CAD modeling).
• Interpretation of hydraulic and mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of ANSI and ISO drafting standards.
• Familiarity with AWS and ISO welding symbols.
• Experience with CFD and FEA pre‑process modeling.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and casting.
• Proficiency with PC tools and document management systems.
