Design Release Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Design Release Engineer to support the design, development, validation, and release of brackets and small components within propulsion systems. The role involves taking concepts through to production release while ensuring performance, manufacturability, cost, quality, and validation requirements are met.

Key responsibilities

• Support the design, development, validation, and release of brackets and small components for propulsion systems.
• Develop components from concept through to production release, considering performance, manufacturability, cost, quality and validation.
• Apply mechanical engineering fundamentals, materials knowledge and manufacturing processes to create robust designs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Mechatronics, Aeronautical or Electromechanical Engineering.
• At least 1 year of professional experience in mechanical design, product development, component design or design release engineering.
• Understanding of internal combustion engines, materials selection, manufacturing processes and mechanical fundamentals.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Siemens NX and/or CATIA.
• Knowledge of GD&T, 2D drawings and 3D CAD modeling.
• Experience designing components from scratch.
• Ability to perform engineering calculations related to physics and mechanics.
