Deskside IT Support Specialist – Remote (12‑month contract)

About the role

Randstad is seeking a Deskside IT Support Specialist to provide on‑site and remote technical assistance for a client in Vancouver. The position is fully remote, offering a 12‑month fixed‑term contract where you will deploy, configure, and support Windows devices and related technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy laptops and peripherals for new and existing users, following team standards.
• Provision Windows 11 devices using Intune Autopilot and deliver Tier 1 end‑user support.
• Provide clear, professional communication with customers, stakeholders, and service providers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve deskside issues, escalating incidents as needed.
• Mentor less‑experienced team members, both on‑site and remotely.
• Ensure compliance with client IT security, technology standards, and service practices.
• Support office technology such as printers, AV, video‑conferencing, and meeting‑room equipment (nice‑to‑have).

Required profile

• 5+ years of IT support experience in a Microsoft desktop environment.
• Strong knowledge of server operations, infrastructure, web interfaces, and remote‑access tools.
• Hands‑on experience with Windows, Linux and macOS operating systems.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
