Desktop Support Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to provide expert remote assistance to users of one of our clients. The role focuses on ensuring smooth desktop operations, minimizing downtime and enhancing productivity through timely issue resolution and proactive maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver remote desktop support and troubleshoot technical issues for end‑users.
• Log and track support requests, ensuring accurate reporting.
• Install, configure and maintain desktop hardware, operating systems and software applications.
• Monitor system performance and address potential disruptions before they impact users.
• Collaborate with team members to develop support strategies and create training sessions.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware and software issue resolution.
• Document processes, procedures and knowledge‑base articles.
• Provide feedback and recommendations to improve support services and ensure compliance with policies.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of desktop support principles and best practices.
• Proficiency with remote support tools and technologies.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and independent work skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Relevant certification such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
