DevOps Engineer – Remote

About the role

Cision is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to design, build and operate secure, scalable cloud platforms that power our communication services. You will work remotely with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable infrastructure and drive automation across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve production‑grade platforms that are performant, secure and highly available.
• Collaborate with engineering, product and security teams to define resilient deployment patterns and infrastructure standards.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers, promoting best practices in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD and site reliability.
• Participate in a 24 × 7 on‑call rotation to support critical services and ensure platform uptime.
• Automate repetitive tasks, create reusable Terraform/Ansible modules and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Monitor system health using observability tools and drive incident response and post‑mortem analysis.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of experience in DevOps, SRE, platform engineering or related software engineering roles.
• Proven ability to work in fast‑paced, distributed environments and deliver production‑ready solutions.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform, Ansible or Puppet.
• Programming in at least one object‑oriented language and scripting for automation.
• Security best practices for infrastructure and services.
• Hands‑on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or OCI).
• Observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and distributed systems.
• Linux and/or Windows systems administration.
