DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

The Site Reliability Engineer will join KION Group IT's Platform Operations Global Team, managing cloud‑based infrastructure and services for custom Java and third‑party applications. You will be responsible for designing, operating, and continuously improving the platform that supports critical business services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain cloud‑based infrastructure on Azure.
• Automate application deployments, repeatable jobs and key platform components.
• Ensure platform availability, stability and compliance with KION quality standards.
• Monitor and operate third‑party and custom Java application stacks.
• Facilitate blameless post‑mortems, derive corrective measures and manage the issues backlog.
• Evolve monitoring dashboards, alerts and measure reliability against SLOs.
• Onboard new third‑party/SaaS solutions and transition custom‑built applications from projects to the team.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps or a related role.
• Proven ability to debug, optimise and automate routine tasks and deployments.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with effective communication skills.
• Independent decision‑making and an Agile mindset.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
