Director of Academic Excellence (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a senior academic leader to drive the execution of our evidence‑based learning model that enables students to achieve twice‑the‑typical learning gains in a two‑hour daily window. This remote position will shape strategy, translate learning science into actionable curriculum, and represent the organization on a global stage.

Key responsibilities

• Develop academic frameworks that convert learning science into curriculum design, student motivation systems, and application interfaces.
• Oversee academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure alignment, accountability, and performance across multiple schools.
• Integrate data analysis, stakeholder interviews, and direct observations into comprehensive ecosystem evaluations, identifying obstacles to accelerated learning and recommending concrete solutions.
• Maintain strategic coherence through structured planning, continuous feedback mechanisms, and progress tracking focused on student learning objectives.
• Serve as the principal representative of 2 Hour Learning in high‑profile settings, delivering keynote presentations and engaging with Ministries of Education worldwide.

Required profile

• Proven track record of articulating and executing an academic vision that delivers measurable learning outcomes.
• Extensive leadership experience in education, preferably with AI‑based tutoring or mastery‑oriented progression models.
• Strong ability to diagnose execution breakdowns, set explicit performance standards, and build high‑performing teams.
• Excellent communication skills for influencing external audiences, including policymakers and education leaders.
