About the role

2 Hour Learning is seeking a senior leader to own and scale its evidence‑based academic model. The Director of Academic Excellence will translate learning‑science research into operational practice, ensuring that students achieve accelerated outcomes through AI‑driven tutoring and mastery‑based pathways.

Key responsibilities

• Design academic frameworks that turn learning‑science principles into actionable guidance for curriculum, motivation architecture, and platform functionality.
• Conduct structured execution reviews with Heads of Academics to guarantee alignment, accountability, and measurable progress across all school sites.
• Integrate quantitative data, qualitative interviews, and direct observations into comprehensive ecosystem assessments, identifying high‑impact barriers and recommending targeted interventions.
• Maintain strategic coherence through continuous planning, feedback mechanisms, and milestone oversight to keep student learning objectives front‑and‑center.
• Represent 2 Hour Learning publicly, delivering keynote presentations and engaging with Ministries of Education to influence global educational discourse.

Required profile

• Proven track record of articulating and executing a clear academic vision at scale.
• Visible, decisive leadership experience in learning‑science or education technology environments.
• Demonstrated ability to produce measurable academic outcomes and communicate results confidently.
• Experience aligning execution across multiple school implementations and raising leadership performance standards.
