Director of Engineering

About the role

The Director of Engineering leads the engineering and maintenance teams at Four Seasons’ Cabo Del Sol resort, ensuring all interior and exterior facilities operate safely and efficiently. This senior position combines hands‑on technical oversight with strategic leadership to deliver exceptional guest and employee experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, unite, and develop a multidisciplinary technical team, including maintenance technicians, pool technicians, and external contractors.
• Oversee preventive, corrective, and statutory maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical (high and low voltage), fire safety, pool hydraulics, and other systems.
• Ensure full compliance with Four Seasons procedures and local regulations, prioritising safety for guests, employees, and assets.
• Optimize the use of the CMMS and continuously improve maintenance programs.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage major maintenance, renovation, and continuous‑improvement projects while controlling budgets and external contractors.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a hospitality or large‑scale facilities environment.
• Hands‑on, visible leadership style with a focus on training and accountability.
• Strong knowledge of local safety and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to manage budgets, projects, and external service providers.
