Director of Logistics – LATAM

About the role

Mattel is seeking a Director of Logistics for the LATAM region to lead the design and execution of its regional logistics strategy across Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Peru. The role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on operational validation to ensure alignment with global standards and regional market needs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a regional logistics strategy that aligns with Mattel’s global supply‑chain objectives while addressing local market requirements.
• Optimize distribution networks, transportation routes, and cost structures across the LATAM footprint.
• Manage logistics budgets, forecasting, and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Present performance metrics and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Lead and develop senior logistics managers in Brazil, Chile, and Mexico, fostering collaboration and best‑practice sharing.
• Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, including ocean freight, customs clearance, warehousing, and domestic distribution.
• Maintain relationships with shipping lines, customs brokers, 3PL providers, retailers, and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and local customs requirements.
• Drive continuous‑improvement projects to enhance on‑time delivery, service levels, and cost efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in logistics or supply‑chain management, preferably within a multinational environment.
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate global policies into regional execution plans.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing internal teams and external partners.
• Track record of managing large, cross‑functional teams and developing talent.
• Deep understanding of ocean freight, customs processes, warehousing, and distribution networks in LATAM.
