Director of Operations

About the role
The Director of Operations will lead MESO’s end‑to‑end operational function from its headquarters in Mexico City. Reporting to senior leadership, this role ensures that supply chain, procurement, inventory, logistics, warehousing, fulfillment and customer service operate efficiently while upholding the company’s sustainability and quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily activities across supply chain, inventory, logistics, warehousing, fulfillment, procurement and customer service.
- Design, implement and continuously improve operational processes to boost efficiency, scalability and profitability.
- Manage domestic and international logistics, including ocean and air freight, customs coordination, import/export documentation and final‑mile delivery.
- Maintain relationships with freight forwarders, 3PL partners, manufacturers, suppliers and warehouses.
- Monitor inventory levels, demand planning, purchasing and replenishment to balance product availability with excess stock.
- Define operational KPIs, build dashboards and use data‑driven insights for decision‑making.
- Develop and control departmental budgets, forecasts and cost‑reduction initiatives.
- Lead, mentor and develop the operations team, fostering accountability and collaboration.
- Partner with merchandising, finance, marketing and sales to support new product launches and company initiatives.
- Enhance customer experience by improving order fulfillment, shipping performance, returns management and issue resolution.
- Implement quality assurance processes across manufacturing, receiving, warehousing and fulfillment.
Required profile
- Proven experience leading large‑scale operations in a fast‑growing, product‑focused company.
- Strong understanding of supply chain, logistics, inventory management and procurement best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and track KPIs, manage budgets and drive cost‑control measures.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Commitment to sustainability, ethical sourcing and high‑quality standards.
