Director of Quality

About the role

The Quality Director leads the organization’s quality strategy, fostering a culture of continuous improvement across all operations. This senior position ensures compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory expectations while driving operational excellence and reducing defects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall quality strategy aligned with business goals.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to execute quality initiatives and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer‑specific specifications.
• Monitor product and process quality metrics, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions.
• Promote customer satisfaction by strengthening quality assurance and control processes.
• Mentor and develop quality teams, fostering a high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related field (required).
• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering Management, or related discipline (preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in Quality Management.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience managing quality teams and systems.
• Experience in manufacturing environments such as automotive, aerospace, medical devices, electronics, or die‑casting.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
• Proficiency with continuous‑improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
• Ability to interpret and apply customer‑specific quality requirements.
