Director of Rooms

About the role

The Director of Rooms will lead the Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services and Laundry functions for the new Omni Pontoque Resort, a 244‑room ultra‑luxury beachfront property opening in early 2027. Reporting to senior hotel leadership, this executive will shape the guest experience from pre‑opening through daily operations, ensuring the resort’s luxury standards are consistently delivered.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for all Rooms Division departments, developing and executing plans that meet budget, service and retention targets.
• Oversee daily operations of Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services and Laundry, ensuring a seamless, high‑touch guest journey.
• Monitor and analyze service issues, guest satisfaction metrics and financial performance, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Lead a high‑performing team, conducting regular reviews, coaching department heads and fostering a culture of service excellence.
• Maintain lobby, guest rooms and public areas to the resort’s ultra‑luxury standards.
• Partner with other resort divisions to coordinate personalized guest experiences from arrival to departure.
• Drive service recovery initiatives and uphold luxury service protocols across all touchpoints.

Required profile

• Executive‑level hospitality professional with proven experience managing Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services and Laundry in a luxury resort or hotel.
• Demonstrated ability to balance financial results, guest experience and associate satisfaction.
• Experience guiding Rooms Division operations through a pre‑opening phase.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret performance data and implement improvement plans.
