Director of Sales (Luxury Hotel)

About the role

Four Seasons is seeking a Director of Sales to lead the sales strategy for its flagship urban‑oasis hotel in Mexico City. The role combines high‑level leadership, revenue optimisation and close collaboration with marketing to deliver exceptional guest experiences and drive profitable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans for rooms, events and ancillary services.
• Lead, coach and motivate a strong sales team, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
• Manage group sales, resolve space/room conflicts, cancellations and attrition.
• Analyse total RevPAR and total revenue performance, not limited to rooms revenue.
• Implement and monitor sales goals, standards compliance and group‑sales guidelines.
• Collaborate with the Director of Marketing on joint initiatives and promotional activities.
• Provide problem‑solving support for sales managers and oversee revenue‑management reporting.

Required profile

• University degree (or equivalent) and at least four years’ experience as a Hotel/Resort Sales Manager.
• Proven record of leadership, client relations and proactive sales activity.
• Strong analytical mindset with revenue‑management expertise.
• Self‑motivated, team‑oriented and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Spanish is a plus.
• Previous management experience and ability to enforce sales guidelines.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Competence in Microsoft Word (or Word Perfect).
• Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint for presentations.
• Familiarity with DOS environments.
