Director of Spa

About the role

The Spa Director will lead the Spa and Wellness operation at Rosewood San Miguel de Allende, ensuring every guest experience reflects the brand’s luxury standards. Reporting to senior hotel management, you will shape the service philosophy, drive financial results and nurture a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the Spa and Wellness operation, ensuring service excellence and alignment with Rosewood, Forbes Travel Guide and LQA standards.
• Design and manage the guest journey, from personalized treatments to wellness programs.
• Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, revenue generation and expense control.
• Collaborate with key hotel departments (rooms, food & beverage, sales & marketing) to integrate spa offerings into the overall guest experience.
• Monitor quality, safety and compliance standards, maintaining certifications and audit readiness.
• Drive innovation in treatments, retail and wellness initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction and profitability.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience as a Spa Director in a luxury or ultra‑luxury hospitality environment.
• Deep understanding of spa operations, guest journey management and wellness programming.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, forecasts and financial performance.
• Track record of building and inspiring high‑performing teams.
• Knowledge of Forbes Travel Guide, LQA, AAA and other luxury hospitality standards.
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Passion for creating personalized, meaningful guest experiences.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
