Early Years Teacher – Preschool Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Early Years Teacher to support our lead teacher in delivering a high‑quality preschool curriculum. You will work directly with young children, fostering a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans, learning activities, and educational games aligned with the curriculum.
• Supervise children during classroom activities, playtime, meals, and outdoor periods to ensure safety and promote positive behavior.
• Support behavior management by reinforcing classroom rules and guiding social‑emotional development.
• Prepare and organize learning materials, resources, and displays to encourage hands‑on learning.
• Maintain a clean, hazard‑free classroom and assist with sanitizing toys and equipment.
• Provide individualized support to children who need extra help or emotional assistance.
• Observe children’s development, report concerns or progress to the lead teacher.
• Help children with daily routines such as arrivals, departures, toileting, meals, and rest time.
• Model respectful, inclusive behavior to promote a positive classroom culture.
• Collaborate closely with the lead teacher and other staff to ensure consistency in teaching practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent (required).
• Prior experience working with young children in an educational or care setting (preferred).
• Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills with children, parents, and staff.
• Ability to observe developmental milestones and recognize concerns.
• Cultural sensitivity and respect for diverse backgrounds and abilities.

Required skills

• TKT Training Course certification.
