ElectroMechanical Design Engineer

About the role

Kidde Global Solutions is seeking an ElectroMechanical Design Engineer to join its Kidde Business Unit in Navajoa, Mexico. The role focuses on the design and development of signaling and detection products that protect people and property from fire‑related hazards. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, collaborating with product development, manufacturing, and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop new signaling and detection products for the Kidde portfolio.
• Perform value engineering and cost‑saving initiatives on existing products.
• Manage end‑of‑life product transitions and drive performance improvements.
• Apply rapid prototyping, Design of Experiments (DOE), Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to validate concepts.
• Lead DFMEA activities, identify critical characteristics, and enforce best engineering practices.
• Provide proactive technical support to the manufacturing site and coordinate with Operations to ensure seamless integration of deliverables.

Required profile

• Strong engineering background with experience in product development.
• Demonstrated technical leadership in electromechanical design.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience supporting manufacturing processes and troubleshooting.
