Embedded Linux Software Engineer – Automotive Gateway

About the role

We are seeking an Embedded Linux Software Engineer to develop and maintain Linux‑based automotive gateway ECUs. The role involves designing, coding, testing and documenting high‑quality embedded software that meets Bosch’s automotive standards.

Key responsibilities

• Write efficient, maintainable C code for low‑level embedded Linux platforms.
• Configure, build and debug software using tools such as winIDEA, Lauterbach and Git.
• Develop and integrate diagnostic communication protocols (UDS, OBD, J1939, etc.) and vehicle networks (CAN, CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet).
• Implement OTA flash solutions and bootloader functionality.
• Perform unit testing, create test scripts and support verification tools like Vector CANoe and Intrepid Vehicle Spy.
• Collaborate in Scrum teams, conduct code and design reviews, and produce technical documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in low‑level embedded C development and Embedded Linux.
• Proficiency with debuggers, configuration management tools and Agile/Scrum environments.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) for global team communication.
