Entry-Level Contract Analyst

About the role

Hartree Partners is seeking an entry‑level Contract Analyst to support its global commodities trading business. You will work within a small team to draft, review, and manage contracts for a range of energy, metal, and agricultural products, ensuring compliance with internal processes.

Key responsibilities

• Generate, prepare, and review commodity contracts covering power, gas, crude oil, and petroleum products.
• Reconcile trade details across internal systems with broker and counterparty confirmations.
• Obtain internal approvals and coordinate with various teams to resolve contract discrepancies.
• Analyze proposed changes to deal terms for alignment with company standards.
• Liaise daily with regional offices and escalate contract‑related issues as needed.
• Distribute daily Contract Status Reports for management review.
• Support special projects and initiatives assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• At least one year of relevant experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English (C1 level or higher).
