Entry-Level QA Engineer

About the role

Meltwater is looking for an entry‑level QA Engineer to join its Global QA Engineering team. You will gain hands‑on experience in end‑to‑end testing while collaborating with engineers, product managers and designers in a fast‑paced SaaS environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute manual test cases for new features, regression and end‑to‑end scenarios.
• Identify, document and track bugs in JIRA with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
• Perform exploratory, smoke and sanity testing across staging and feature‑branch environments.
• Create and maintain test cases linked to epics and user stories.
• Validate features against acceptance criteria and flag gaps.
• Participate in daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming and feature kick‑offs.
• Begin developing automation skills (e.g., Playwright) under mentorship.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle and testing fundamentals.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, curious mindset with a desire to learn and grow in QA.

Required skills

• Familiarity with at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript or Java).
• Exposure to web technologies such as HTML, CSS and REST APIs.
• Experience using JIRA or similar bug‑tracking tools.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and databases.
• Understanding of Git/version control.
• Exposure to automation tools like Playwright or Selenium (preferred).
