Faculty Position in School of Biomedical Engineering

About the role

The School of Biomedical Engineering at Nanjing University seeks full‑time tenure‑track or tenured faculty at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead an independent research program in biomedical engineering.
• Teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
• Supervise PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and research staff.
• Participate in departmental service, curriculum development, and collaborative projects.
• Secure external funding and foster industry partnerships.

Required profile

• PhD in a relevant biomedical engineering or related field.
• Strong record of independent research, publications, and teaching.
• Clear, distinctive research vision supported by notable academic achievements.
• For Assistant Professor: at least three years of postdoctoral or equivalent industry experience (exceptional recent PhDs may be considered).
• For Associate/Full Professor: distinguished, sustained scholarly excellence and impact, typically held at a world‑class university or institute.
