Faculty Position in School of Biomedical Engineering

About the role

The School of Biomedical Engineering at Nanjing University is seeking full‑time faculty members at the Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor levels. Candidates will join a rapidly expanding, interdisciplinary hub that integrates life sciences, engineering, and clinical medicine on the Suzhou campus.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead independent research programs in strategic areas such as bioelectronics, brain‑computer interfaces, biomaterials, organ‑on‑a‑chip, medical imaging, robotics, and AI‑driven health analytics.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, mentor students, and supervise graduate theses and post‑doctoral researchers.
• Contribute to departmental service, curriculum development, and collaborative projects with industry partners.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in biomedical engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated passion for teaching and a strong record of independent research, publications, and grant acquisition.
• For Assistant Professor level, at least three years of post‑doctoral or equivalent industry research experience (exceptional recent Ph.D. graduates may be considered).
• For Associate/Full Professor level, a distinguished, sustained record of scholarly excellence and impact, comparable to peers at world‑class universities.
