Failure Analysis Engineer III

About the role

The Senior Failure Analysis Engineer serves as the subject‑matter expert for global failure analysis support, leading investigations of complex product and component failures. This role drives root‑cause identification, method development, and knowledge dissemination across Jabil’s workcells, business units, and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex FA projects, including scope definition, budgeting, and coordination of third‑party analytical services.
• Provide technical guidance and training to lab technicians on test methods, data collection, and analysis techniques.
• Collaborate with Quality, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to resolve component or process issues.
• Develop and maintain global FA procedures, documentation, and records.
• Present findings at customer meetings, seminars, and conferences as a Jabil representative.
• Design experiments, perform DOE, CPK analysis, Gage R&R studies, and other statistical tools.
• Offer FA consultation services to internal workcells and external customers.

Required profile

• Strong ability to read, analyze, and communicate scientific, technical, and regulatory information.
• Experience presenting technical results to senior management and external stakeholders.
• Advanced PC proficiency and familiarity with Jabil’s software packages.
• Demonstrated flexibility and urgency in responding to escalated FA requests.
