Failure Analysis Engineer

About the role

The Failure Analysis Engineer is responsible for identifying failure modes of warranty returns, testing and diagnosing products, and providing clear reports and recommendations. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to improve product reliability and reduce future failures.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate electrical and mechanical characteristics of systems, components, and integrated circuits to determine root causes of failure.
• Assist in analyzing failure reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and refine methods, processes, procedures, and equipment to improve the failure analysis workflow.
• Participate in product returns, conduct detailed failure investigations, and meet internal and external Service Level Agreements.
• Maintain daily productivity and workflow reports, and keep process documentation up to date.
• Review existing processes regularly and implement new procedures as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and engineering change documents.
• Collaborate with employees at all levels, suppliers, and external customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Team player able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple competing tasks.
• Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Excellent organization, planning, and time‑management abilities.
• High ethical standards, personal accountability, and integrity.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Effective interpersonal and collaboration skills across all organization levels.
