Failure Analysis Engineer

About the role

The Failure Analysis Engineer is responsible for identifying failure modes of warranty returns, testing and diagnosing products, and providing actionable recommendations to improve product reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate electrical and mechanical characteristics of systems, ICs, components, and sub‑components to determine root causes of failure, including analog and digital performance verification.
• Analyze failure reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop methods, processes, procedures, and equipment to enhance the failure analysis workflow and reduce future failures.
• Participate in product returns, conduct detailed failure analyses, and document findings.
• Meet and exceed internal and external Service Level Agreements.
• Maintain daily productivity and workflow reports.
• Review, update, and maintain process documentation regularly.
• Assess current processes and implement improvements as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and engineering change orders.
• Collaborate effectively with employees at all organizational levels.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Team player capable of thriving in a fast‑paced environment and handling multiple competing tasks.
• Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Excellent organization, planning, and time‑management abilities.
• High ethical standards, integrity, and personal accountability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Effective interpersonal and collaboration skills for working with internal teams, suppliers, and external customers.
