Field Service Engineer – Mexico (Remote)

About the role

Bloom Engineering is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to support its industrial combustion and heating customers throughout Mexico. You will act as the primary technical authority on‑site, delivering commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance and long‑term support for furnace and heating systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead onsite commissioning and advanced troubleshooting of industrial combustion and heating equipment.
• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on burners, furnaces and heat‑processing equipment.
• Provide long‑term technical support and act as the regional customer‑facing representative.
• Coordinate with U.S. engineering, sales and service teams to resolve complex issues.
• Travel up to 80% of the time across Mexico and occasionally to the United States for training or overflow support.
• Prepare detailed service reports in English summarising findings and work performed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Chemical engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum five years of field service experience with industrial combustion or heating systems.
• At least two years of direct experience with Bloom Engineering equipment or comparable technology.
• Strong understanding of combustion fundamentals, NFPA 86 and related safety codes.
• Valid driver’s license (international preferred) and ability to obtain OSHA 10‑Hour and NFPA 70E training.
• Fluency in Spanish and professional proficiency in English.
• Eligibility for a TN visa or ability to qualify for one.

Required skills

• Combustion principles (air‑to‑fuel ratios, flammability limits, NOₓ formation).
• NFPA 86 and NFPA 70E safety standards.
• PLC ladder‑logic troubleshooting.
• PID control systems and industrial instrumentation.
• Calibration, configuration and analysis of mechanical and electrical instrumentation.
• Reading and interpreting technical manuals, mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Experience with burners, furnaces and heat‑processing equipment.
