Finance & Accounting Associate – Talent Bench Program

About the role

Join a fast‑growing startup that supports U.S. cannabis companies with finance, sales, operations and logistics. As a Finance & Accounting Associate in the Talent Bench program, you will work remotely alongside experienced professionals, handling daily accounting tasks for U.S. clients and building a solid foundation in technical accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily accounting operations such as reconciliations, invoicing, cash/payment applications, and journal entries.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, aging reports, data entry, documentation, and month‑end close activities.
• Deliver accurate work on time while meeting quality standards and service level agreements.
• Maintain low error rates and minimize supervisor corrections.
• Build client trust through reliable support and suggest workflow improvements.
• Collaborate with team leads and peers in meetings, check‑ins, and shared projects.
• Develop expertise in accounting fundamentals, AP/AR processes, Excel, and ERP systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Economics.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an accounting or finance role.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Interest in process improvement and automation.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time‑management skills.
• Good written and verbal communication in English.
